UROMED SILICONE EXTERNAL CATHETER Application

Check the product carefully for integrity before use.

  • -  Clean the penis thoroughly and dry well before fitting the product.

  • -  Shorten the pubic hair at the root of the penis and shave the penis shaft, as necessary.

  • -  Tear open the individual packaging along the perforation and remove the product from the individual packaging at the drainage tip.

  • -  For the Standard version: To remove the plastic cone, grip the product at the drainage tip and pull out of the plastic cone.

  • -  Do not roll out the external catheter before use, as this reduces the adhesive strength and makes fitting difficult.

  • -  Carefully place the unrolled external catheter at the glans and slowly unroll over the entire length of the penis.

  • -  Hold and press the external catheter to ensure good adhesion.

  • -  Before connecting the urine bag, first attach it to the bed/leg to avoid the hose twisting.

  • -  Push the connector on the urine bag into the drainage tip of the external catheter.

  • -  T o remove: carefully unroll the external catheter from the root of the penis to the glans. If necessary, a warm, damp compress (e.g. damp flannel) can be placed around the external catheter so the integrated adhesive is easier to detach. Do not use any other objects or aids to remove the product.
